Getting Started
To begin using your Raven Account, you must first complete the verification process. To verify your BVN on Raven, click profile from the bottom right corner of your app and then click “verification.”
BVN Verification
- Start by clicking on the “Begin Verification” button.
- Next, you’ll see the verification screen. All you need to do here is enter your BVN details and record a short selfie video. To begin the process, click “start”.
- Next, you’ll need to allow access to your camera. Don’t worry; it’s completely safe and necessary.
- Tap on “OK. I’ll allow access” and grant permission on the pop-up window.
- Now, select your country. In this case, it’s Nigeria. Next, enter your BVN, first name, and last name on the following screen.
- To record your selfie video, tap “Open Camera,” position your head in line with the camera, and hit the “Record” button.
- When you’re ready, simply press “Stop” and proceed to upload the video.
Congratulations! You’ve just completed the BVN verification process.
ID Verification
Now that you have completed the BVN verification process, you can now move on to the ID verification stage. At this stage, you’ll need to confirm your identity by providing a government approved id card. Here’s how to verify your ID.
- Start by clicking on the “Begin Verification” button.
- After that, ensure you have your legal document ready, then click on the “Start” option within the popup screen to begin the process.
- You’ll need to select the document you intend to use from the list provided. You can use your NIN, driver’s license, international passport or voter’s card in the verification process.
- Click” Upload Page” to upload a copy of your scanned id card. You can rotate your image to fit the provided guideline.
- Now it’s time to record a selfie video. To ensure optimal results, ensure that you are in a well-lit environment. Centre your face within the video frame and press the red button to initiate the recording. Once the recording is complete, click “Upload” to finalise the process.
Verifying Your address on Raven
Okay so you’ve gotten your BVN and ID verified. It’s time to now complete the address verification stage. This stage is straightforward and pretty simple, here’s how:
- To verify your address on Raven, click your profile from the bottom right corner of your dashboard and then click “verification.” Then “Address Verification”
- Fill in the address verification form with your house number and street address.
- From the drop-down menu, select your state and local government then enter the closest landmark to you.
- Finally upload a picture of an utility bill or bank account statement showing your address.
